Sally Lou Crisci-Firmi, 74, of  200 Charlotte's Lane, New Castle, Pa., died Thursday, April 2, 2009, in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.

She was born, Jan. 10, 1935, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Frank and Ann Marie Prioletti Crisci.

Sally married Eugene "Lou" Firmi on Aug. 6, 1955. They were married for 53 years. He died July 26, 2008.

She was employed by Crisci Food Equipment Co. for more than 50 years and was the acting president for 20 years.

Sally was active in the American Foreign Student Exchange Program with the New Castle Area School District.

She was a member of St. Mary Church of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randall Firmi of Boardman, Rodney and Sherri Firmi of New Castle, and Ryan and Aimee Firmi of New Castle; a sister and brother-in-law, Rosina and Anthony Chiaverini of New Castle; six grandchildren, Rodney, Lauren, Ryan, Kirsten, Brandon and Nolan; four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Marge Firorelli of Highland Heights, Ohio, Rosemarie and Frank D'Augostine, and Martha and David Cotelesse, all of New Castle, and Betty Firmi of New Castle; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Castle View Memorial Gardens.

Sally was the 107th classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation.

After her name in the Yearbook it reads: "The finest of them all. Football usher, 12."
